My favorite part of spring is the return of the California poppy. I love to see their vibrant orange dotting the landscape, and even added a patch to my own yard. It's a joy to watch them sprout and spread every year. I wanted to bring these flowers to life in earring form, but it came as quite a challenge. After all, nature already perfected the design. My attempts to capture the delicate details and effortless movement of the real thing just seemed to fall flat time after time. Finally, I reached what I felt to be a worthy tribute, and now they're ready to add to your collection!
